Job Description: PNB is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records by recording and reconciling financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support effective decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement and accounts payable, to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, continuously enhancing accounting knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry, calculations, and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under deadlines.
- Ethical and trustworthy, maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information with discretion.
