Job Title: Credit Counselor

Location: Delhi

Reports To: Head of Credit Counseling

Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Credit Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the credit counseling process and be able to help individuals and families manage their debt. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve credit counseling goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling and education to individuals and families on debt management: This includes helping clients understand their financial situation, develop debt repayment plans, and create budgets.
• Negotiate with creditors on behalf of clients: This includes working with creditors to reduce interest rates, waive late fees, and consolidate debt.
• Refer clients to other resources as needed: This includes referring clients to financial planning services, bankruptcy attorneys, and other resources.
• Other duties as assigned: This may include participating in training programs, and providing guidance to other credit counselors.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: This includes being able to communicate effectively with both clients and creditors.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills: This includes being able to assess clients' financial situations and develop solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team: This includes being able to work independently to help clients, and as part of a team to achieve credit counseling goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field: This is preferred, but not required.
• 2+ years of experience in credit counseling: This is preferred, but not required.
• Credit counseling certification: This is preferred, but not required.
